Well done to Iain Bartholomew our Commercial Manager recently completed a course with the University of Hull looking at Climate Change Essentials. He describes his experience as below.
I completed a 3 day Climate Change Essentials course run by the University of Hull, the programme provided a detailed scientific background of climate change and the global challenges faced by us all. Over the duration of the course we looked into what businesses can do to contribute to solutions to climate change by adapting practices, managing supply chains and implementing compliance towards Net Zero goals. There was practical advice on carbon foot printing and measuring/reporting carbon outputs to demonstrate progress towards carbon goals and developing action plans.
The course was attended by a wide mix of delegates from small businesses, large utilities companies and public institutions and all found it engaging and useful, as going forward businesses will be required to be more carbon literate and will be expected to demonstrate improved sustainability.
I have joined an online group of Climate Champions and look forward to sharing the knowledge and insights gained on the course.
